Handcrafted and packaged in St John’s Newfoundland, our artisan chocolates are a reflection of our beautiful home of Newfoundland. Artisan Chocolatiers Brent Smith and Christina Dove, with their combined twenty-five years of chocolate expertise, started The Newfoundland Chocolate Company with a desire and passion to create delicious chocolates from the very finest of ingredients, by hand – the artisan way. In addition to their Chocolate expertise, their backgrounds in Geography and Science, respectively, lend itself well to their business. Brent with a MA in Geography continues to seek out single origin chocolate from cocoa beans grown all over the world. While Christina’s Masters in Science and Medicine inspired her to focus on the importance of using fresh local wildberries, premium roasted nuts with no artificial flavors, no preservatives or additives. Grown from a small family business, Newfoundland Chocolate can now be purchased in every province of Canada, including our two beautiful chocolateries on Duckworth Street and now at The Avalon Mall.
